三、將其他動(dòng)詞的賓語(yǔ)譯成主語(yǔ)
Light beams can carry more information than radio signals.
光束運(yùn)載的信息比無(wú)線電信號(hào)運(yùn)載的信息多。
Hot-set systems produce higher strengths and age better than cold-set systems.
熱固系統(tǒng)比冷固系統(tǒng)的強(qiáng)度高，而且老化情況也比較好。
四、將主語(yǔ)譯成定語(yǔ)
1.當(dāng)形容詞譯成名詞，并譯作主語(yǔ)時(shí)，而將原來(lái)的主語(yǔ)譯成定語(yǔ)。
The oxygen atom is nearly 16 times as heavy as the hydrogen.
氧原子的重量幾乎是氫的16倍。
Medium carbon steel is much stronger than low carbon steel.
中碳鋼的強(qiáng)度比低碳鋼大得多。
2.當(dāng)動(dòng)詞譯成名詞，并譯作主語(yǔ)時(shí)，將原來(lái)主語(yǔ)已成定語(yǔ)。
The earth acts like a big magnet. 地球的作用像一塊大磁鐵。
A cathode ray tube is shaped like a large bell. 陰極射線管的形狀像個(gè)大鈴鐺。
Mercury weighs about 13 times as much as water. 水銀的重量約為水的13倍。
五、將定語(yǔ)譯成謂語(yǔ)
1.動(dòng)詞賓語(yǔ)的定語(yǔ)譯成謂語(yǔ)
Water has a greater heat capacity than sand.
水的熱容比沙大。
Copper and tin have a low ability of combining with oxygen.
銅和錫的氧化能力低。
2.介詞賓語(yǔ)的定語(yǔ)譯成謂語(yǔ)
Gear pumps operate on the very simple principle.
齒輪泵的工作原理很簡(jiǎn)單。
Nylon is produced by much the same process as rayon.
尼龍的生產(chǎn)過(guò)程與人造絲大體相同。
六、譯成漢語(yǔ)主謂結(jié)構(gòu)中的謂語(yǔ)
將名詞前的形容詞，即名詞的定語(yǔ)與該名詞顛倒翻譯，一起譯成漢語(yǔ)的主謂結(jié)構(gòu)，在句中充當(dāng)一個(gè)成分。
Among the advantages of numerical control are more flexibility，higher accuracy，quicker changes and fewer machines down time.
數(shù)控的優(yōu)點(diǎn)中有適應(yīng)性強(qiáng)、精度高、換刀快、及非加工時(shí)間短。
These pumps are featured by their simple operation，easy maintenance，low oil consumption and durable service.
這些水泵的特點(diǎn)是操作簡(jiǎn)便、維修容易、耗油量少、經(jīng)久耐用。
